Visitor guide · Where to stay
Where you sleep decides how much of Pujo you see. These hotels are grouped by neighbourhood, with the nearest metro station and the number of pandals within walking distance worked out from their location, so you can compare them on what matters during the festival.
Choosing
A hotel ten minutes’ walk from a station beats a nicer one that needs a car. On puja nights, cars barely move.
The famous theme pandals are mostly in the south; the old family pujas and Kumartuli are in the north. Base yourself near the side you care about most.
Pujo week fills the city. Book weeks ahead, check the cancellation terms, and expect rates above the usual ranges below.
