Why we built it
Pandal hopping in Kolkata is wonderful and exhausting in equal measure. Most people plan it from memory, group chats and whatever they can find online at the last minute. That works until you are standing on a crowded street wondering which way to walk next, or queuing for an hour at a pandal that was quiet twenty minutes earlier.
Puja Parikrama puts the useful parts in one place: a proper map, a route that respects how long a walk actually takes, and updates from people who are already there. It is free, and it is built for Kolkata first.

People at a pandal can report how long the queue is and whether it is raining. Reports stay valid for thirty minutes.

The festival we are built around
In December 2021, UNESCO inscribed Durga Puja in Kolkata on its Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity: not only the worship, but the art, the craft and the neighbourhoods that make it.
