Copyright and takedown
Puja Parikrama celebrates the work of artists, photographers and puja committees. If something here belongs to you and you did not agree to it being shown, tell us and we will deal with it.
Who owns what
Visitors’ photos
The person who took a photo keeps the copyright. By sharing it, they let us show it in the app and on the website with their first name, for as long as it stays up. Every photo is checked before it appears.
Our own content
The name Puja Parikrama, the design of the app and website, our stories and guides, and our code belong to us. You may use them for your own planning; please ask before reusing them anywhere else.
Maps and places
Map tiles come from OpenFreeMap and OpenMapTiles, and map and places data from OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database Licence. Their data remains theirs and is credited on every map.
Pandal details
Pandal names, addresses and locations describe public events. Logos, artwork and names of puja committees and brands belong to their owners. A committee can claim its pandal page to correct the details.
Asking us to remove something
Your photo, shared by someone else
The quickest way is in the app: open the photo, tap Report and choose It is my photo, shared without permission. The report comes straight to our moderators. Reporting needs an account; if you do not have one, email us as below.
Anything else
For text, artwork, a listing, or anything you cannot report in the app, email growwithhustler@gmail.com with the subject “Copyright or takedown request”.
Email a takedown requestWhat to include
- A link to the page in the app or on the website, or the name of the pandal the photo is on.
- What the material is, and what you own in it: a photo you took, artwork you made, text you wrote.
- How we can tell it is yours, for example the original photo file or a link to where you first published it.
- What you would like us to do: remove it, credit you, or correct it.
- Your name and how to reach you.
- A statement that the information in your request is accurate, and that you own the material or may act for the person who does.
What happens next
We read every request. If it holds up, we remove or correct the material and let you know. When a photo is removed because it belonged to someone else, we may also stop the account that shared it from sharing more, as our Terms of Service explain.
If something you shared was removed and you think that was a mistake, email us with the details and we will look again.
For puja committees
If your pandal’s page has the wrong details, or uses your artwork or logo without permission, open the page and use Claim this pandal. Once we have confirmed you are with the committee, we will work with you on what the page shows. Find your pandal.
Reusing our content
You are welcome to link to any page. To reuse our text, design or photos beyond that, ask us first. OpenStreetMap data can be reused under its own licence, from openstreetmap.org/copyright.
